Therme Erding | Prices & Opening Hours
Therme Erding is much more than a classic thermal bath. Located on the outskirts of Munich, the resort combines a southern holiday feeling, modern wellness areas, a large adventure world for families, and a hotel concept that is directly integrated into the facility. Officially, the Therme refers to itself as the largest thermal bath in the world; on a total area of 185,000 square meters, 40 pools and water basins, 38 saunas and steam baths, as well as 28 slides come together. The history dates back to October 1999, when the Therme was first opened and has since developed from a regional excursion destination to a nationally recognized destination. Those looking for Therme Erding are usually not just searching for entry prices but for a complete short vacation: slides, sauna, hotel, vouchers, opening hours, parking options, and a reliable assessment of when a visit is most worthwhile. This overview is precisely aimed at that. It brings together the most important topics in a structured manner and shows what makes the Therme special for families, wellness guests, and overnight guests. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/fileadmin/userdaten/user_upload/14_Presseportal/Pressemitteilungen/Au%C3%9Fergew%C3%B6hnliche_%C3%9Cbernachtungen_und_gehobene_Kulinarik_.pdf))
Prices and Entry Fees for Therme, VitalOase, and Saunas
The search query for Therme Erding prices is one of the most important topics because the entry fee varies significantly depending on the area and duration of stay. The textile family area Therme includes a wave pool and Galaxy slide world and is accessible from 0 years. Here, the regular rates are 25 euros for 2 hours, 35 euros for 4 hours, 45 euros for 6 hours, and 54 euros for a day. On Saturdays, Sundays, Bavarian holidays, and during school vacations, a surcharge of 5 euros applies, and every started half hour costs an additional 2.50 euros. Children up to and including 3 years are free. Those who plan their visit early or want to save specifically can also find special rates such as Early Swimmer, Monday Night, Family Monday, and La Dolce Vita Tuesday, which, however, only apply outside of holidays and Bavarian school vacations. This makes Therme Erding not only a destination for spontaneous day trips but also for precisely planned visits with a fixed time frame and clear budget control. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
For older guests or for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, the VitalOase is the next price level. It is valid from 16 years, can be used in swimwear, and also includes Therme, wave pool, and Galaxy slide world. The rates start there at 33 euros for 2 hours, 43 euros for 4 hours, 53 euros for 6 hours, and 62 euros for a day. The textile-free VitalTherme & Saunas is also aimed at guests aged 16 and over and is priced at the same level; additionally, a surcharge is mentioned for the use of the saunas when switching from another area to the complete sauna experience. Those who want to book prices with as little risk as possible should consider online reservation: it costs 3.90 euros per person and provides additional planning security, especially on heavily frequented days. The topic of occupancy is particularly important during vacations, holidays, and weekends, as demand is usually significantly higher then. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
From an SEO perspective, the price range is particularly valuable because searchers almost always also ask for clear decision-making aids: Is the 2-hour rate worth it, is a 4-hour visit sufficient, or is the day pass more sensible? The official rates make the biggest difference here between a quick visit and a relaxed stay. Those traveling with children and using the adventure pool area benefit from the clear age structure and the favorable short-term rates. On the other hand, those seeking sauna and relaxation should rather opt for longer stays, as the textile-free wellness areas primarily play to their strengths in the combination of time, relaxation, and switching between pools, saunas, and relaxation areas. Especially during high occupancy, reservation is not only a comfort factor but often the most sensible way to reliably plan the visit at all. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
Opening Hours, Online Reservation, and Occupancy
Therme Erding opens at different times depending on the day of the week, which is crucial for planning a visit. From Monday to Thursday, the regular operation of the Therme begins at 1 PM and ends at 9 PM. On Fridays, it is open from 1 PM to 11 PM, on Saturdays from 9 AM to 11 PM, and on Sundays from 9 AM to 9 PM. On school-free days in Bavaria, the Therme opens as early as 9 AM, and before school-free days, it can remain open until 11 PM. The VitalOase and the VitalTherme & Saunas have longer opening hours: Monday to Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 11 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 12 AM, and Sunday and on Bavarian holidays from 9 AM to 11 PM. For outdoor slides, the Therme mentions seasonal times from April to the end of October, provided that weather, wind, and temperature cooperate. This staggering is important for visitors because it directly influences whether a visit to the adventure pool, the sauna, or a complete day at the resort is sensible. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
However, when it comes to the keyword Therme Erding opening hours, it is not only about times but also about availability. The official website points out that online reservation is particularly advisable on weekends, holidays, and during vacations because an entry stop may be possible during these phases. The reservation costs 3.90 euros per person and offers the advantage of guaranteed entry on the desired day, provided capacities are available. This is especially important for travelers coming from Munich or further away who do not want to come on a whim. Those who prefer a quiet atmosphere should think strategically about occupancy: Tuesday to Thursday outside of Bavarian school vacations are usually the more relaxing time slots. This is not just a mere assumption but a logical consequence of the official notes on reservation, vacations, and weekends. This way, the visit can be better structured in advance, without spontaneous waiting times or unnecessary pressure upon arrival. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/en/info/online-reservation/))
The Therme is also open year-round, making it an attractive option even in winter and on rainy days. This is relevant for many search queries because the combination of opening hours, weather independence, and high density of offerings is a central reason for the popularity of the facility. Visitors can choose between family areas, wellness areas, and hotel access, thus planning different usage profiles depending on the time of day. For example, those with only a few hours to spare tend to use the Therme or a fixed swimming and sliding block; those staying for a whole day can switch areas and significantly slow down their visit. This flexibility makes Therme Erding particularly strong from an SEO perspective because the search intentions for short visits, day trips, and overnight stays are very different. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/uebernachtungen/hotel-victory/wissenswertes-vor-buchung/))
Galaxy Slide World: Slides, Wave Pool, and Family Area
The Galaxy Slide World is one of the strongest arguments for Therme Erding and the most important content behind the keyword Therme Erding slides. Officially, the Galaxy offers 28 water slides with a total of 2,850 slide meters and three difficulty levels. These include family-friendly slides for children from 3 years as well as thrilling X-Treme slides for adrenaline fans. Particularly striking is the Magic Eye, described as the longest tube slide in the world at 365 meters. Additionally, spectacular highlights like the high Big Wave, which with its slope and intense rides resembles a theme park more than a classic thermal bath. Those coming with children will find their own children's slides and family-friendly lanes that make the entry into the slide world easy. This range explains why Therme Erding is equally popular with families and teenagers: here, bathing holidays and action meet directly. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/therme-sauna/therme-erlebnisbad/galaxy-rutschenwelt/?utm_source=openai))
The textile adventure area Therme complements the slide world with the wave pool and large basin areas. Officially, the wave pool is described as 34 degrees warm, with waves up to two meters high and a backdrop of over 300 real palm trees. This creates a tropical atmosphere that clearly distinguishes itself from a classic indoor pool and explains the South Sea character of the facility. For many guests, this combination is crucial: first wave swimming and sliding, then relaxation in quieter pools or in the wellness area. Because the Galaxy Slide World and the wave pool are integrated into the family area, the stay can also be meaningfully utilized when several age groups travel together. Children get action, parents get comfort, and older teenagers find enough speed to perceive the visit as a real experience. So, those looking for photos or impressions should consider the Therme not just as a wellness location but as a complete adventure landscape. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/therme-sauna/therme-erlebnisbad/?utm_source=openai))
Current information about the slide world is also important for planning. The official website regularly points out revisions and maintenance work so that guests can check in advance whether individual attractions are temporarily closed. This is especially useful in highly demanded areas because many visitors specifically travel for certain slides. Therefore, anyone planning an action day should not only consider the opening hours but also the revision notice. Especially in large facilities with high intensity, maintenance is not a minor issue but part of quality assurance. The combination of size, variety, and professional care makes the Galaxy Slide World a central search topic for families, groups, and weekend guests. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
VitalTherme & Saunas: Peace, Textile Freedom, and Wellness
If the search interest is more towards Therme Erding sauna, the VitalTherme & Saunas is at the center. This area is textile-free and accessible from 16 years. It expands the Therme with a wellness area clearly aimed at adults, where peace, warmth, infusions, and deceleration are the focus. Officially, the Therme states that the entire facility has 38 saunas and steam baths as well as 40 pools and water basins. This makes it clear how strongly the wellness component is expanded in the overall resort. The large number of saunas is not a random addition but a central profile feature of the facility. Those who want to not only bathe but consciously regenerate will find a wide range of thermal experiences that clearly set themselves apart from the family area. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/presse/pressemitteilungen/mitteilung/therme-erding-erneut-spitzenreiter-unter-deutschlands-thermen/))
Additionally, the Therme emphasizes its development since its opening in 1999. According to official press information, the facility has been supplied by the 65-degree warm thermal healing water from the Ardeo spring, which was discovered in 1983 at a depth of 2,350 meters. In conjunction with the palm trees, the palm lagoon, and the wave pool, a very own brand identity is created that consciously distinguishes itself from other thermal baths. Even in the context of the vital areas, current press information shows a continuous development, such as redesigns under the iconic glass dome and new sauna concepts. This is relevant for SEO because visitors are not only looking for a sauna but often for a special sauna experience with a clear story, unique atmosphere, and reliable quality. Therme Erding delivers exactly this combination of tradition, growth, and experience value. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/fileadmin/userdaten/user_upload/14_Presseportal/Pressemitteilungen/Nachhaltigkeit_in_der_Therme_Erding.pdf?utm_source=openai))
It is also important for visitors that the boundaries between the areas are clearly defined. The VitalOase is also accessible from 16 years and can be used in swimwear, while the VitalTherme & Saunas operates textile-free. This way, each guest can choose the appropriate area according to their comfort level and wellness goal. Those with only half or a whole day available should prefer the more quietly planned times, as the sauna culture can then unfold better. The official price structure and the separate opening hours show that Therme Erding does not only focus on quick experiences but also on longer stays and conscious regeneration. Here, the difference between an adventure pool and a large thermal brand with wellness expertise becomes clear. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/preise-oeffnungszeiten/))
Hotel Victory, Overnight Stays, and Vouchers
The Hotel Victory Therme Erding is relevant for anyone looking for Therme Erding hotel or Therme Erding with overnight stay. The hotel is located directly on the grounds of the Therme and is designed in a ship design. Officially, the Therme describes the house as an anchor point in the palm lagoon of the wave pool, making the maritime concept immediately visible. Hotel guests benefit from direct access through the lobby to the wave pool, and entry is already included in the price for many rates. According to booking information, there are rates with thermal entry starting at 115 euros per person per night and a variant without entry starting at 90 euros per person per night. It is also important for hotel guests that entry is guaranteed throughout the stay. The hotel is thus not only accommodation but a part of the overall experience. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/uebernachtungen/hotel-victory/))
The official hotel description also mentions 134 themed rooms and refers to the concept designed as if on board a large sailing ship, a modern ocean yacht, or in Venetian style. Press information adds that the Victory guesthouse was opened in 2016, includes 74 rooms, and is located opposite the Therme, only about 150 meters from the entrance. Additionally, there is a culinary infrastructure with restaurants and a bar, as well as the possibility to use the Therme even before checking into the room. Check-in is possible from 3 PM, and check-out is until 11 AM. Early swimming is exclusively available for hotel guests from 8:30 AM in the wave pool. Those planning a short vacation thus receive a very rounded arrangement of overnight stay, wellness, and gastronomy. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/fileadmin/userdaten/user_upload/14_Presseportal/Pressemitteilungen/Au%C3%9Fergew%C3%B6hnliche_%C3%9Cbernachtungen_und_gehobene_Kulinarik_.pdf))
The topic of vouchers is also important because many users search for Therme Erding voucher or Therme Erding offers. The Therme sells vouchers in the online shop, and these can be redeemed on-site at the cash registers or at the hotel reception. According to the official FAQ, the validity of vouchers is three years, starting from the end of the year of purchase. For the Aldi Süd tickets, the situation depends on the respective promotion: some current promotions can still be redeemed at a fixed special price, while others continue as voucher value when the discounted redemption period has passed. This means for visitors above all one thing: with Aldi tickets, the specific promotional designation and the printed date should always be checked. Those planning gifts or spontaneous breaks will be safest with the official voucher shop. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/en/info/how-to-find-us/))
Directions, Parking, and Practical Tips for Your Visit
Therme Erding is located in Erding at Thermenallee 1 to 5, south of the city center and west of Altenerding, directly on the B 388. From the Munich area, the Therme is easily accessible by both car and public transport. The official directions describe the location as about 36 kilometers northeast of Munich. Those coming by train take the S2 to Altenerding and then transfer to bus lines 550, 560, or 580, which run directly to the Therme from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, bus 570 operates; alternatively, there is a marked footpath of 800 meters from Altenerding station. This proximity to the station makes the visit well-planned even without a car. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/anfahrt/anreise-mit-den-oeffentlichen/))
By car, the journey is also straightforward. The official information states there are 600 free outdoor parking spaces and 1,050 spaces in the parking garage. Additionally, there are free parking spaces for motorhomes, provided they are only used for the visit to the Therme and do not require supply units. Those who purchase an entry ticket may use the designated parking areas for one night. This is also practically relevant for search queries about Therme Erding parking or Therme Erding occupancy, as many visitors find the combination of free parking, good motorway access, and large facility very comfortable. Especially on heavily frequented days, it is worthwhile to arrive early to easily find a parking space and start the day without time pressure. ([therme-erding.de](https://www.therme-erding.de/infos/anfahrt/anreise-mit-den-oeffentlichen/))
For practical planning, some small but important details are also helpful. The Therme offers charging options for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids in the parking garage; additionally, the website regularly points out revisions, current changes, and reservation options. Therefore, anyone planning a full thermal day should check the opening hours in advance, realistically assess the occupancy, and use online reservation if necessary. For families with children, it is advisable to consider the Therme and the Galaxy Slide World more as a day program with sufficient time reserve. For wellness guests, on the other hand, a later afternoon or evening appointment is often the more relaxing choice. This combination of accessibility, size, and variety of offerings makes Therme Erding so strong in search and well-suited for a longer stay.

Europe's largest thermal spa complex is a tropical paradise near Munich, and in the right circumstances it really can feel that way. It’s massive, with dozens of waterslides and a wave pool. The water temperature was absolutely perfect. Plan your visit carefully on a weekday and outside Bavarian school holidays if you want any sense of breathing room. On busy days there are surcharges added for holidays. Parking is free and plentiful if you arrive earlier in the day. Service overall was fantastic (especially from food vendor Intan and the check-in staff). We rented a private chalet for the day. These book up quickly online, and for good reason: having a dedicated space to leave towels, drinks, and dry clothes was worth the cost. The food prices were affordable and the quality well above what you usually expect in large thermal complexes. We didn’t make it to the dedicated spa and sauna areas this time around, but they’re on the list for the next visit. Therme Erding is absolutely worth a day trip if you go with expectations set properly.

This is very very good place to have a relaxed day or if you want to have a fun day. They have nearly all the facility you will need in a spa, including bathrobes, towels etc. For bathrobes and towel they take deposit which they return while leaving the place. If you want extra calmness and no kids, they have those zones also which are also less crowded and only 8€ extra, all you need to pay. The food and drinks also inside is good and not very expensive. As a suggestion book tickets for at least 6 hours.

Recently I had a two day stay at Hotel Victory, using the Therme Erding facilities in the evenings and visiting Munich during the day. I was mainly in the vital & sauna area, which is huge. There is a large pool for swimming (about 34c) and numerous pools / spa baths for relaxing. There are almost too many saunas to count. I visited midweek in January so it was busy but by no means overcrowded. I guess summer weekends could be different though. I didn’t use the other areas of Therme Erding - they are mostly focused on families with children - so can’t comment. Also I’m not sure about the entrance fee - I bought a package with entrance included when I stayed at the Hotel Victory. If coming by train, the nearest station is Altenerding, which is 15-20 mins walk away. There are trains to Munich every 20 minutes and it costs €12.90 on the DB app. The only minor complaints I’d have are that from the outside the approach to Therme Erding looks unattractive (through a large untidy car park) and in the spa itself there are lots of saunas but no steam room, and there are no drinking fountains for fresh water - you have to buy drinks at the bar. Other than those small issues, it was a thoroughly excellent visit, highly recommended.

This place is amazing and just when you think you've seen it all it surprises you with something even more amazing. The day pass is great value for money but bring some snacks and drinks for during the day, the food in-house is very good quality and not badly priced. Small extra cost to enter the textile free saunas and pools, well worth it if that’s your thing. We stayed in the campervan Park within the campus for 4 nights at €20 a night again great value. I will definitely be coming back again.

The experience is amazing every single time. My friends and I always come for a whole day of relaxation and mostly to visit the VitalOase, but the other areas are great too. Just be aware that it is extremely full on bank holidays and weekends.
